Beauty Obsession of the Day

"Every day it's something new with you!"I've been hearing this my whole life and to be honest?  It's true! Everyday I'm obsessed with a new product or idea or hack that I'm convinced I can't live without!  So everyday I'm going to (try to)  tell you about it!  Quickie posts. Here's today's- Bad Baby Hairspray Pens! If you're even close to my age you remember a time when hairspray was ginormous, I kept the 24 inch can of shaper in my duffle bag, and wielded it like a sword-

Well,...flip the switch chick, cuz this little can, can fit in your pocket: It's the size of a pen!
I ordered the hairspray and the dry shampoo which i use as a texturizer, and it's ahhhhhhhhhhmazing! The smell is to die for!
I literally keep a little can of this in my change holder in my car just to freshen up my hair and make it smell great!

You can find Bad Baby here

I'd like to thank the Academy.......

Yesterday I was fortunate enough to be given the opportunity to do makeup and hair for the Oscar's.
It was a long awaited dream of mine and I feel so blessed that it came true!
So in true Oscar fashion, I would like to thank some of the people that helped me achieve this dream, or at least made their products available for me to use at the Oscars.

First and foremost, I would like to thank Diane at KohGenDo Cosmetics for generously supplying the makeup I used.

Here are the products that I used to get those award winning looks:

I started the day by making sure everyone was relaxed and their skin was hydrated by giving each of my clients 10 minutes of down time with a Macro Vintage Essence Mask.

Then I primed their skin with

PeterThomas Roth Un-Wrinkle Primer

For those that needed a little extra help with sallow skin I used Maifanshi Makeup Color Base Lavender Pink

After priming the skin I used my favorite foundation Maifanshi Moisture Foundation.

I absolutely LOVE this foundation b…

Just like Mama used to make!

I tried Muir Glen Organic Fire Roasted Tomatoes and they were awesome!
I used this in my homemade bruschetta recipe and it made all the difference. They tasted like they came straight from the garden and were roasted over an open fire! I have already
recommended this to friends, and I would definitely buy them again and again.

Panic at the Disco folks !

Just thought I would let you know why you haven't heard a peep from me, ...
I'll have to make this quick because I don't know how much I'll be able to get out before I'm kicked off.  I am "attempting" to write this blog post from my phone 📱 And unfortunately I'm finding out the hard way why people don't, because it's a bit of a crap game really, at any moment my app will just crash erasing everything I've written! That's happened more times than I'd like to admit.
It all started over the holidays when a certain someone who will remain nameless told me I could delete .... actually probably best if I keep this short, I'm surprised it hasn't crashed already.
My computer broke, I didn't see a reason to get a new one because luckily I have a backup laptop.
The other day that one died as well (the black screen of death is just as ominous as it sounds.)
Now this comes at a really bad time since it's been impossible t…

I don't usually think of myself as a hopeless romantic, but lately I equate everything to relationships, even blogging about products. As much as I'd like to be that wham bam thank you ma'am reviewer... you know, the one that gets the product and says "OK you'll have final copy in 3 days", I just can't. I need to fall in love with it, even if only for the moment, and for that I need to get to know you better.  Seriously, can you really get to know a anything in such a short time, enough to feel confident telling all your friends about it ?  Because that's what you are, you're my friends.
And friends can smell BS a mile away.  So I'm not going to candy coat it, if I love it, I'll scream it from the rooftops, and if I don't....well.

The Crazy (but true) Things We Do in The Name of Beauty

When I was 14 years old, I had a really beautiful best friend.
I won't say she was evil, but I will say, adolescence is difficult, and friends sometimes do shitty things to each other ...
You get the picture?

As for my friend? (Let's call her "Suzie".)
She had the longest lashes I had ever seen!

I had tried everything to get mine to look as long as hers; Gobs of mascara separated with a safety pin...Baby powder under my mascaraOlive oil every night Nothing worked, finally, I asked her...

"Suze, how can I get my lashes to look like yours, all long and beautiful? She said, Do you really wanna know?
Yes, whatever it is, I'll do it, just name, it I said.
Cut them, she said.
Cut them???
Yup, she said
How short do I cut them?
That depends,... How long do you want them? Her eyebrows raised, The shorter you cut them, the longer they'll grow" she told me.

My brow routine - A quick Everyday Eyebrow Makeup Tutorial in 5 mins or less

Quick Tip Tuesday - unruly brows! Here is  a quick 5 min beauty tip that I use and think you'll love. If you've seen my blog before you know that I am more than a just a little obsessed, with Lastics Shave Soap.
But check this'll never believe how I use it today!

Here's my routine.
You will need 1. A brow brush - the ones I use are either
Senna fine line,Ve's Favorite Brushes - Slant Tip
Nars #5 brow brush.  2. A brow pencil
I don't spend big money on this, the one I'm using for this video is from Daiso (it's $1.50 and I love it!)  3. A brow powder
I am using Senna's brow palette because I want to use 2-3 colors so it looks natural and not one dimensional  4. A spooly or a toothbrush
to brush them into place and

5. Here's the kicker, instead of brow gel, I use my Shave Soap from Lastics
it holds them in place without feeling crunchy (plus it smells ahhhhmazing!)

6. A brow highlighter  (optional)

to clean up and sharpen your edges - …
